Training (LIRET) is approved by the Department of State to offer
New York Real Estate Salesperson's and Broker's Licensing and Continuing
Education Courses.
HOW
TO OBTAIN A N.Y. REAL ESTATE SALESPERSON'S LICENSE:
To qualify
for a New York Real Estate Salesperson's License, students
must do the following:
Successfully complete a
75-hour Real Estate Salesperson
pre-qualifying course accredited by the NY Department of
State and achieve a passing grade on the final exam that is
given on the last night of class.
Satisfy attendance requirements by physically attending
90%
of course hours, exclusive of the review and exam.
Take
the NY Department of State exam offered at a
Department of State exam site located in Suffolk County,
Nassau County, Manhattan, Albany, and in other counties in
upstate New York and achieve a passing grade of 70 or better.
Hold U.S. citizenship or be a permanent resident.

ESTATE SALESPERSON'S LICENSE COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Real Estate Sales Class
The
75-hour Real Estate
Salesperson's Pre-Qualifying Course offered by L.I. Real
Estate Training (LIRET) is approved by the NY Department of
State, and is a prerequisite for persons who wish to obtain
a New York Real Estate Salesperson's License. The course is
also open to students who wish to acquire general real estate knowledge and
strategies for buying and selling their own homes, but do
not wish to apply for a license.
Topics
include: License law, contract law, leases,
landlord/tenant issues, finance, valuation and appraising
real estate, deeds, environmental concerns, closing and
closing costs, and much, much more.

20 Evenings
Textbook:
A separate real estate salesperson textbook fee of $45 will be collected by L.I.
Real Estate Training instructors at the first class meeting
and textbooks will be distributed at that time.
